I also think the price was too high, but I now know that we contributed to pay for him to get back to Ross on Wye in a 3 or 4 hour drive, which we were not happy with. Our driver was brilliant though and couldn't fault him personally. "

I would have thought that the taxi driver would have checked if he had a valid destination before setting off as he had my contact details. This meant that by the time I made contact asking him where he was he was already late. His attitude was also lacking."

"We booked a minibus to collect guests for our wedding from the hotel they were staying in. The minibus didn't show up, and when one of our guests phoned to ask where it was, they were told that the driver had exceeded his hours and so couldn't come and pick them up. Eventually alternative taxis were arranged by the company, but our guests were late for the ceremony. This kind of stress is not appreciated on your wedding day! The company should have told us there was going to be an issue and they should have been more proactive in arranging the alternative transport- if our guest hadn't phoned up they would probably still be waiting! Poor service and poor communication."

"The vehicle was faulty: its windscreen kept misting up on the inside to the point where it was dangerous. The driver indicated that this was an ongoing problem with the manufacturer/dealer. I had to insist we drive with the windows down, even though it was raining hard. That vehicle should not have been on the road. The driver's driving was erratic. He was frequently well over the speed limit and at one point was driving so fast coming off the M4 on to the M25 I had to tell him to slow down; the whole vehicle was tipping. I tipped him at the end of the journey as I always do, but I would not use him again. My fellow passengers agree."

"Driver was very late. He called to say where he was, when I explained that meant we were late for an important event he gave me a lot of attitude and no sense of apology. Just a ‘there’s nothing I can do about it’ reply. I asked whether there was usually compensation of some sort when pre-booked taxis were late and he started shouting and swearing at me for a long time, saying he wasn’t f***ing working for free and threatening to not turn up. I asked him to calm down and said he was misunderstanding me, I wasn’t asking him to work for free, but I was talking about a goodwill gesture. It was so upsetting I had to hand the phone to a friend. When he arrived I said to him in person that I was the one he’d shouted at on the phone, thinking maybe in person things would be better. But he started shouting again, threatening not to take us. He said this a lot, as if it yielded him a power which made him unaccountable for his actions. Then when the last two people were on the bus he took off, not waiting for them to find seats or get their seatbelts on and swung around corners quickly, speeding up and braking quickly. It felt very much like he was making a point with his driving style and at certain points it felt dangerous."

Driver took a windy and narrow back road route to motorway which was very uncomfortable for passengers especially those facing backwards, stopped twice for petrol and a toilet break without clear explanation and took wrong turnings off the motorway twice having to go completely round the off roundabouts to get back on. We lost confidence and started to provide directions. Also somewhat erratic with overtaking. Seemed a nice chap but not the most relaxing of rides especially in the dark!"

"Confirmed 10AM pickup (email confirmation from Welland Wheels) but they didn’t turn up. When I called they hadn’t logged the changed time. Said would send cab when driver dropped current fare but wouldn’t say when. We made alternative arrangements at 10.15, called WW to tell them and they immediately went into to refund mode. No apology, mild abuse and inference it was our fault. Overall very unprofessional. "

"Driver Tony on journey to cheltenham was great. Over and above. Great guy. Return journey not good. Tony came at 11pm as requested to the Ivy Brasserie but his Mercedes was stuck in 1st gear. We got to Double Tree rather slowly and dropped of my family. Tony could not risk driving on up to sevenhampton with the hills involved so requested another taxi. We sat and waited in car park at double tree hotel for 30mins at least. Replacement taxi came 3 men in back so I was in front with driver, my partner in with the 3 men. He was very stressed and went on a lot about all his bookings being messed up. Not comparable with driver Tony. Anyway we got home which is main thing. "

"I would please like details of how I can make a complaint and apply for a refund as our driver left us stranded in Cheltenham by not returning my phone calls to give them a pick up location as per the booking or when I tried to find out where they were. This led to us having to pay out another £150 for a taxi and not returning to our location until 4:30am. "I booked a journey to and from Cheltenham races and it was the worst taxi company I have experienced. Despite booking 6 months prior they turned up 1hr 10mins late for the outward journey with the driver stating he got the job an hour prior. Zero communication for the return journey. I called the company and was told the driver was 7 mins away. He turned up 35 mins later. They clearly take too many bookings and cannot fulfil. AVOID!!!"

"worst experience I have ever had with a taxi firm. booked a taxi for Tuesday at 11 and nevil didn't turn up until 12.15 saying he had contacted me to ask if I would taxi share, this was at 10.58 I answered at 11.02 and he said he had already taken the other people so would have to come back for us. we had pre booked this 6 months ago and paid so there was no excuse, he even said he could of got us bit instead as we all knew just wanted more money, had no interest in picking us up. then we had a return journey booked for 6.15 after getting to the spot asked at 6 he then went on to say traffic is bad and didn't turn up until 7. this was during the Cheltenham racing festival so every decent taxi driver knows there is traffic. we also knew this wasn't the real reason as when he told us where he was saying he was 8 minutes away he was actually 20 miles away. he then proceeds to tell my friend on the phone to f**k off and he is happy to cancel the taxi as we said we wasn't happy that he wasn't on time or even let us know he thought he would try his luck getting another drop done for more money. as we then arrived back to our place at 7.45 we could hear people calling asking where there cab was as they were also ment to be at 6.15 with that the taxi driver saying he was nearly there where in fact he was atleast an hour away meaning they wouldn't get picked up close to 9. we also had this company the Thursday. as they picked us up on time at 11, rather than taking us to the racetrack for 11.30 that we get there every year, they detoured 20mins in the wrong direction to pick other people up which they was ment to get at 10 then someone else also on the way to take them to the train station meaning we got to the races at 12.45 1 hour 45 mins for a 25-30 min drive. they then didn't see why both parties where annoyed with them. they on the return journey same again 6.15 pick up, we was walking out the racetrack to meet when he rang at 5.45 saying if your not here on 10 mins were going as we don't want to park up. bearing in mind they pre charged me £250 for this journey and £150 the others which he didn't even pick up. we luckily got there after running through the mud to get to him even though we didn't need too. we also had to use our phone maps as he didn't know where to go. all nevil wants is make as much money as he can and has no customer care. he didn't care that he was letting by the sounds of all the complaints all his customers down. no clue, rude and just pathetic. would never recommend or use. felt sorry for his temp driver who picked us up the Tuesday as was getting alot of stick from clients on the phone that nevil had organised when he had no chance of getting there. he was a decent lad just got thrown into the deep end. poor company, very let down"

"I booked a return and the out journey was perfect, but coming back I was just given a dialacab who wouldn't go where I asked to be picked up. It wasn't a big deal but I had to walk an extra 200 yards or so and I rushed (I hate being late) and because of the rush I stumbled on a stile and have a big gash on my leg. It is, of course, my own fault but if the guy who dropped me off had picked me up (as we had discussed) it wouldn't have happened, and dialacab is a very basic taxi firm."

Just a ‘there’s nothing I can do about it’ reply. I asked whether there was usually compensation of some sort when pre-booked taxis were late and he started shouting and swearing at me for a long time, saying he wasn’t f***ing working for free and threatening to not turn up. I asked him to calm down and said he was misunderstanding me, I wasn’t asking him to work for free, but I was talking about a goodwill gesture. It was so upsetting I had to hand the phone to a friend. When he arrived I said to him in person that I was the one he’d shouted at on the phone, thinking maybe in person things would be better. But he started shouting again, threatening not to take us. He said this a lot, as if it yielded him a power which made him unaccountable for his actions. Then when the last two people were on the bus he took off, not waiting for them to find seats or get their seatbelts on and swung around corners quickly, speeding up and braking quickly. It felt very much like he was making a point with his driving style and at certain points it felt dangerous."

"worst experience I have ever had with a taxi firm. booked a taxi for Tuesday at 11 and nevil didn't turn up until 12.15 saying he had contacted me to ask if I would taxi share, this was at 10.58 I answered at 11.02 and he said he had already taken the other people so would have to come back for us. we had pre booked this 6 months ago and paid so there was no excuse, he even said he could of got us bit instead as we all knew just wanted more money, had no interest in picking us up. then we had a return journey booked for 6.15 after getting to the spot asked at 6 he then went on to say traffic is bad and didn't turn up until 7. this was during the Cheltenham racing festival so every decent taxi driver knows there is traffic. we also knew this wasn't the real reason as when he told us where he was saying he was 8 minutes away he was actually 20 miles away. he then proceeds to tell my friend on the phone to f**k off and he is happy to cancel the taxi as we said we wasn't happy that he wasn't on time or even let us know he thought he would try his luck getting another drop done for more money. as we then arrived back to our place at 7.45 we could hear people calling asking where there cab was as they were also ment to be at 6.15 with that the taxi driver saying he was nearly there where in fact he was atleast an hour away meaning they wouldn't get picked up close to 9. we also had this company the Thursday. as they picked us up on time at 11, rather than taking us to the racetrack for 11.30 that we get there every year, they detoured 20mins in the wrong direction to pick other people up which they was ment to get at 10 then someone else also on the way to take them to the train station meaning we got to the races at 12.45 1 hour 45 mins for a 25-30 min drive. they then didn't see why both parties where annoyed with them. they on the return journey same again 6.15 pick up, we was walking out the racetrack to meet when he rang at 5.45 saying if your not here on 10 mins were going as we don't want to park up. bearing in mind they pre charged me £250 for this journey and £150 the others which he didn't even pick up. we luckily got there after running through the mud to get to him even though we didn't need too. we also had to use our phone maps as he didn't know where to go. all nevil wants is make as much money as he can and has no customer care. he didn't care that he was letting by the sounds of all the complaints all his customers down. no clue, rude and just pathetic. would never recommend or use. felt sorry for his temp driver who picked us up the Tuesday as was getting alot of stick from clients on the phone that nevil had organised when he had no chance of getting there. he was a decent lad just got thrown into the deep end. poor company, very let down"

"Driver incredibly rude, made us feel very uncomfortable. We were being driven to our wedding venues and her driving made the bride feel travel sick. Driver insisted picking us up early to start, we said that’s fine but we want to leave when we asked as we were waiting for everyone to arrive. Once driver dropped us at first venue, she complained at us that she was now ‘“late for the school run” - this is not appropriate, we still left earlier than we had booked but she still insisted on making us feel uncomfortable. As she was now “late for the school run” she said this is would mean she’d be late picking us up, then making us late for our dinner reservation. She also gave us attitude when we asked to open the boot to pop in our luggage. Incredibly poor service and put a bad mood to the start of our wedding day."

"The delay was a little annoying but the driver contacted me to keep me updated so it wasn't too bad, and traffic was quiet so I reached my destination reasonably quickly. The overall 1* rating s because of the cost. I am not familiar with Cheltenham so did not question the price charged. I was astonished when taking a cab back to the station for which I paid cash, to discover that the usual fare was only £11! I therefore have no need for any vouchers as I will not be using the service again."
